Unfortunately, a combination of nationalized hyper-partisanship coupled with special interest spending have made it challenging to educate and advocate on specific issues, especially during the noise and tumult of election seasons.  As a result, voters and leaders often lack reliable information to make informed choices.  We have also collectively lost sight of civic politics being traditionally a non-partisan process that prioritized outcomes.
